Email Notifications

A listing only stays on the board for about two weeks, so refreshing the home page is a poor way to catch a new one. Turn on notifications instead and you get one email each time a moderator approves a job at a level you care about. It is off until you switch it on, and every email carries a link to switch it off again.

Turn notifications on

Sign in and open your profile from the icon in the header, or go to /profile.

Open the Notifications tab.

Switch on Enable notifications. A message confirms that job email notifications are enabled.

Choose your role filters. Three buttons appear — Intern, Graduate, Early Career. Click the ones you want; each click saves straight away. Leave all three off to hear about every job.

Emails go to the address on your account. If your account has no email address on it, the toggle reports an error rather than switching on.

One job means one email — there is no daily or weekly digest, and no batching. Each message has a subject line in the form New approved job: Job Title at Company, and contains the title, company, location, position level, a link to apply, a link back to the board, and an unsubscribe link.

You are never emailed about the same job twice, even if it is approved again after being taken down.

These are no-reply emails

Replies do not reach anyone who can act on them. Manage everything from your profile or the unsubscribe link.

What the filters do

Your filters are matched against the job's position level, the one the person who posted it chose.

No filters selected — you are emailed about every approved job.
One or more selected — you are emailed only about jobs at those levels.

Filters are saved as soon as you click them, so there is no separate save button. They are only shown, and only editable, while notifications are switched on.

Turn notifications off

Two ways, and both stop every job email:

In your profile — Notifications tab, switch Enable notifications off. Your role filters are remembered, so switching back on later keeps them.
From any email — click the unsubscribe link. It opens a page on the site with a Confirm Unsubscribe button, and nothing happens until you click it. One stray click in an email client cannot unsubscribe you by accident.

Old unsubscribe links keep working

Your unsubscribe link stays the same even after you switch notifications off and back on. An unsubscribe link in an email from months ago will still switch you off today, so re-enable from your profile rather than assuming a stale link is dead.

If the unsubscribe page says the link is invalid or expired, the link was damaged in transit — some mail clients break long URLs. Sign in and use the profile toggle instead.

Limits worth knowing

Only new approvals count. Jobs already on the board when you subscribe do not generate an email. Go and browse them.
Position level is the only filter. There is no filter for location, company, or technology tags.
Notifications are separate from your tracker. Nothing is emailed about jobs you have saved or applied to, and nothing about the status of a job you submitted.
Not receiving anything? Check your spam folder, confirm the toggle is still on, and confirm your filters are not narrower than you meant. No jobs at your chosen levels having been approved yet also looks exactly like this.
Deleting your account removes your subscription along with everything else.
